OUR WATER SOURCE
With current usage rates, the Town of Beech Mountain’s single existing water source is not sustainable during drought conditions, catastrophic emergencies or technical failures.

An average family of four uses 881 gallons of water per week just by flushing the toilet. Replacing 3.5-gallon toilets with low flow toilets can save a household 12,000 gallons of water each year.
On Beech Mountain, water is precious and we must work together to be good stewards of our biologically diverse land. Residents and visitors can do this by limiting tap water use. By conserving water together, we guarantee its ongoing availability. We are currently in a Stage 2 Mandatory Reduction. For more information about what this means, please click here.
We invite you to learn, share, conserve, protect, and enjoy all our resources on beautiful Beech Mountain.
